A world where men and women carry magic in their blood, and spilling it can unleash terrible power

Bloodspell is Strange Company’s first feature-length Machinima animated film and uses the Neverwinter Nights game engine.

Episode 2, and the story continues:

“As the raid progresses, the novice Jered sees the power of blood magic firsthand.

Later, as they progress toward his initiation, the Master of the Black Monks explains to him the consequences of his actions.”

Holy shmoly, this episode has some of the best thought out choreography I’ve ever seen in a CG animation. The Staircase, The Staircase, I want one!

This episode is a lot tighter, both with the camera shots, and the narrative. There’s less over the top fighting, and more character progression.

As I’ve mentioned before, I will look at each episode in turn, commenting on each, and then review Bloodspell as a whole.
